Founded in 2015 by S. Gomes, Araguaia Poços drills 205 meters deep water wells, facing sandstone rock formations. Since the beginning of its activities they have been facing a need for the best cost-benefit rate possible.
Overview:
The client used an FG 06-Fergel drilling machine with an Atlas Copco 28 Bar Compressor. In order for the customer to have the desired performance according to his need, it was recommended that he used the DHD 360 Puma Hammer and Puma 6 1/8” flat face bit.
Results:
- Drilling time: 7 minutes at each 5 meter rod, with a speed of 43 meters per hour. Using competitor’s hammers and bits under the same conditions and design specifications, the customer did the same operation taking 17 minutes per 5 meter rod, meaning a speed of 17,6 meters per hour.
